The Knowledge Platform
The KP has been developed for members and the wider regeneration community. It is the only data store at the London Thames Gateway and wider Thames Gateway geography. It holds key data sets allowing for a clear understanding of the place that regeneration sits, and allows users to compare and contrast performance at a regional and national level.
Anyone looking for a way of comparing a wealth of information on London Thames Gateway and local communities need look no further than the Thames Gateway Knowledge Platform. As the only dataset built around producing standard data on the Thames Gateway boroughs, this is a unique online information service. It allows partners who subscribe in the Thames Gateway and outside to pool and share information and knowledge. This can be displayed in a number of ways: as maps, as various charts, or league tables of rankings, all enabling detailed comparison of social, environmental and economic trends. For more information and subscription and access details contact communications@thames-gateway.org.uk or 020 7673 4578.
Knowledge Platform Review: Enhancements, Upgrades and Functionality
The Knowledge Platform is in the process of undergoing a thorough review. In consultation with our partners, the Thames Gateway London Partnership is seeking to identify users key data needs to help provide Local Authorities with the data needs required to deliver Economic Assessments and Area Agreements.
In addition to a full review of data requirements, the graphical user interface will also be developed enabling improved usability and functionality. This will allow the look and feel of the Platform to be enhanced providing a more intuitive and user friendly system.
The document library is also under going a major upgrade and will now be located on the TGLP website: http://www.thames-gateway.org.uk/
The new library, due to go live in Spring 2010, will be located within a ‘members area’ and act as a repository for TGLP working documents, completed research and reports within our various work streams. A search facility will enable users to find information on solutions/modelling within the London Thames Gateway. |
